Co-founder and First Chapter President Remembered
In May 2012, the chapter's co-founder and former president passed away.
Brig. Gen. Cornelis “Cees” Kagenaar, NLA (Ret.), was a former member of the technical staff, officer in the Order of Orange-Nassau with Swords and bearer of Das Verdienstkreuz 1. Klasse des Verdienstordens der Bundesrepublik Deutschland.
Gen. Kagenaar began as the chapter president in November 1987, and he continued to serve the chapter as vice president for many years and later as adviser to the board.
In 2007, the general retired as adviser but remained an active member of the chapter until the last moment.
